UTA also operates the Frontrunner commuter train, which runs between Ogden and the north, and is responsible for the TRAX system, the light rail system that runs to and from the University of Utah. Salt Lake City is also home to Utah State University, a major state university, as well as other universities and colleges.
Canyonlands Field (CNY), which serves the Moabit area, has a long history as a major tourist attraction in the Salt Lake City area. vernal (VEL) in the northeastern corner of Utah has a history that has had its fair share of tourist attractions, such as the Grand Canyon.
Amtrak # 6 runs the California Zephyr from Emeryville to Chicago and stops at Salt Lake City, Cedar City and the Grand Canyon. Delta Airlines serves Cedar City (CDC) and central Utah from SaltLake City.
Their flights to San Francisco are at 5: 35 p.m., and their flights from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles are at 9 a.m. If you have time and desire to explore all the attractions in SaltLake City, you should visit the Temple Square. For convenience, you can book a free guided tour "Tempelplatz" online; the tour starts at 5 pm and ends at 7 pm. It is located near downtown Salt Lake City and is a great place to stay if you want to see all the attractions of the city.

Head north on Interstate 15 to reach City Rocks National Reserve on the way back from Salt Lake City. Head south on I-15 and east to City of Rocks State Park and then west on State Parkway until you reach Cedar City on your way back to Utah State University.
The whole city of Salt Lake appears on the horizon and you will notice a predominantly flat city surrounded by canyons, with a patchwork of wetlands and various green spaces connected to the Great Salt Lake. When visiting SaltLake City, be sure to take a look at the cityscape that includes Temple Square and downtown.
